Directions:
Proper dosage is 1 heaping Tbsp of dried herbs per 8 oz water. Each 1 oz bag will give you about 7 servings of tea.
Bring water to a boil & while water is heating, crush herbs in your hand to help weaken the plant’s cell walls & place them in a stainless steel tea strainer, french press or teapot with built-in strainer. Pour hot water over them (it’s best to cover the vessel to prevent the herb’s volatile oils from escaping with steam). Steep for 5-20 mins. Press down on herbs with a spoon to squeeze out as much liquid as possible and filter out the herbs. Consume immediately to get the most plant medicine.
Teas should be steeped at different temperatures. When tea is brewed, different things such as tannins, amino acids, aroma and flavor compounds are released from the leaves. Some teas require more heat than others. For example: Green tea water steeped at 175 degrees, White tea steeped at 194 degrees, Black tea steeped at 205 degrees
**Use honey or even pure maple syrup to sweeten up the tea if desired.. don't forget to add a jar of our honey at checkout ;)
